This past weekend Penny (my BX) and I were out moving 12 yards of dirt. At one point I parked and noticed that my three point carry-all (which I use with a load of logs for loader ballast) was sitting a bit crooked. Upon closer inspection I saw that one of the plates that constrain the three-point drawbar axle had come loose (the top bolt fell out and the plate flipped down) and had shifted to the side. This caused one of the three point lift arms to come loose and shift back. No real damage was done except for some paint being scraped off of the transmission housing, and a small dent was put in the metal tube that comes from the hydro-fluid strainer and I assume feeds the pump.

There doesn’t appear to be any kind of crease in the tube, and there is certainly no fluid leaking. Should I…

1) Not worry about it?
2) Replace it right away?
3) Order a new tube and replace it next time I change the fluid (in about 25 more hours)?

Thanks,

rock: any dent in fluid tubing, cuts down on fluid flow. depending on your idea of SMALL DENT, i would opt for option #3. unless the dent is relly very small then option #1 option #2 is only if it is really kinked and leaking. but u are there and we ain't.but from what u say # 3 looks like best bet.

I would probably not worry about it assuming small is just that--very small. If in your opinion it is unsightly or could restrict flow then change it at your convenience. J
