I just couldn't help myself. Had to have it. I was going to try and make one myself after I got a welder, but when Kubota came out with this for the BX22, I knew I'd end up with one. Cost was about $150..... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Pretty cool, and the extra weight will increase stability! Already got one on my BX22, but I'm mostly interested in your rear-blade and work light. What make is the rear-blade? and how do you like plowing snow with a rear blade vs a front blade? Is the work light a Kubota accessory or a DIY setup? Thanks

The rear blade is an el-cheapo brand, Farm Star if I remember. I bought it as a 6' model and chopped it down to 5' so I could spin it around 360 degrees. It does a good job of moving snow. I usually use it driving forward, my bucket pushing most of the snow and the rear blade cleaning up. I really don't like driving backwards, so I avoid pushing snow that way when I can. I made some jury rigged caster wheels to act as skid shoes for it to keep from gouging too much.

The work lights were a DIY project. I wanted to keep from drilling into the ROPS (Liability reasons if I ever sell the BX). I found a pretty cool way of doing it and even posted it here as a project some time ago, complete with a parts list and photos. IF you do a search on my username and BX work lights, you should be able to find it ok. I'm very happy with how they work, they do a tremendous job...one faces forward and one behind....and I can adjust where they point to real easy... /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif

Charlie,
Did the guard just bolt right up or did you have to make some modifications?

4 grade-8 bolts is all it took. I didn't like what the BX22 used to bolt on with (Hex Bolts), so I picked these ( 1/2"x2") up at the hardware store. All the holes lined up perfectly.

Thanks a Million Charliebrn.Had My Eyes on one ever since I first saw them. Dealer didn't have any info on part numbers when I checked last summer.

Couldn't get the bx22 guard when I bought mine so I had to settle for the standard one. The silver one looks much better! I didn't like the standard bolts either, grade 8 for two of them and bought two eye bolts for the other two so I had a dedicated place to tie the 2200 down(over size washers and they say they are rated at 2000lbs each. TSC) Didn't want to drill into my ROPS either but didn't want the wires to snag so I buried them inside.
