Dumb question.....is it possible to relocate the pre lift pump filter to the front and use the existing filter type rather than switch to a Racor type? The fuel lines would still have to be spliced but it would not require anything else except two brass fittings and a few extra feet of 5/16 fuel lines.

When I had my BX I put a Racor in up front. It filtered before the fuel pump so I added a line to the front for the Racor then from the Racor back to the fuel pump, so you do the same thing, just a stock filter instead. If you go through that much work why not a Racor or the setup from a B?

Hi
Appreciate the response, I do have a b filter and a Chinese knockoff of the racor but they seem a bit exposed if they are installed on the outside of the frame near the loader upright. I run thru the woods and I’ve noticed that the branches that fall on my tote road seem to lodge in that area. I’m thinking that the shape of the original filter would shed the errant pieces of wood. Guess I could try the b and see what happens. It seemed to work ok on the 3350 I used to have....but that was protected by the frame and not subject to getting beat up.

Waiting for the epoxy to set up on the return fuel port on the B fuel filter and will get it installed yet this weekend. The B filter has an auto shut off when you remove the bowl. Neat feature.

dodge man Where on the front of your BX did you place the Racor filter? I'm trying to do the same thing, but there's no room behind the axel and in front of the loader frame that doesn't get in the way of the front tire at full turn.
