BX 3PH lower link wrench size.

Hello all,

I need help on a quick question. I'm miles away from my tractor at the moment and want to buy a ratcheting wrench to adjust my lower links (turnbuckles) on my BX24 3 point hitch. Does that take a 17mm or 19mm?
I've searched and searched the net and youtube and can't find the answer.

3/4 if you meant the turnbuckles. I just buy the 1 dollar store wrench and leave it in my pvc toolbox mounted on my FEL post.

Awesome, I got the right one. I picked up a craftsman 19mm that has a ratcheting open end as well as closed end. I'm thinking it will make changing implements much less of a chore. Since it is a holiday I couldn't call the dealer and ask. Thanks for the prompt reply!

I use a 19mm on mine. I didn't even know you could get open ended ratcheting wrenches. I'm going to have to pick one up cause that would make things a lot easier.

Well I got to try the wrench out when I swapped out the bush hog for the post hole digger this morning. I'm sold. There is a bit of a learning curve, however. It doesn't seem to grip the nut as tightly so at first you tend to slip off the side of the nut. It helps to choke up on the wrench and to use your free hand as a guide next to the nut if you can. All in all, I say it is completely worth the price. Just what I was looking for.

Yup, just get a 3/4 wrench to keep on the tractor. :thumbsup:

I use a pair of vice grips on the center "nut", and the 19mm on the other. My hands are getting weak and this helps hold things so that I can tighten/untighten them.
