Can someone suggest a recommended brand and size for a york rake and boxblade for a BX 24...??? The machine has grass master tires and the tires are not loaded.... do you see a problem with this??

Appreciate your thoughts!

I have a 6 foot modern implements rake for my BX24. I would suggest at least a 5 foot so when it is angled you still have coverage for tire tracks. As far as a box blade, stay with a 4 foot box blade. When doing heavy work with the scarifiers deep, it is pretty good workout for my BX24. I own a United heavy duty 4' boxblade.

ditto on 5 ft for minimum.

I use a 60" Land Pride boxblade on the back of my BX23, mostly for my gravel driveway and a 72" landscape rake...Has worked well for me.

I have a 5' landscape rake I use with a BX24. It could easily handle a 72" one from my experience. I have turf tires but do have wheel weights. I can't recall any situation where the tractor had trouble pulling it, even with a whole lot of crap in the rake.

Hope this helps,

Jim

5' Woods here on BX24 with unloaded turfs. I leave the FEL on the front for counter-balance and convenience. Works fine on 1200' of hilly driveway.
