Well can't say enough about the bx 24, heres my problem. After all of yall's predictions and comments I couldn't wait for the new 24 to come out. I had a bx2230 less than 6 months old and traded for 24 with understanding from dealer that I would keep my mower deck and was told it would fit no problem. Well today tried to put deck on and it don't fit. The brackets on deck for lift arms to hook on to are to narrow. Another words lift arms on new kubota's are wider. Dealer says one to fit is about $1400.00. Sorry for long story but thought it might help someone thinking it might work for theres. Thankyou

I am not familiar with the mowing deck or the BX24 but if the brackets not lining up with the tractor is the only problem then, before spending $1400 for a new deck, I'd look at trying to to move the brackets to where I need them. Maybe angle iron to re-mount for brackets in a new location, or simply cut and reweld them on the deck.

If thats the only issue then you may be able to have the dealer order/provide you a set of BX23 lifts arms to see if that'll work.
But I want to advise you that on BX2230/BX23's where the owners have switched over to those those new 10" R4 front wheels that they will rub the MMM when they are cut all the way to either side. Kubota redesigned the MMM for the BX24/BX2350 and that may have been one of the reasons.

Another option is to put the MMM up for sale on ebay. There are alot of folks that didn't buy a MMM with their BX22'/BX23's that would now like to get a good deal on one.
If a new one runs $1400, and depending on the condition of your MMM and the amount of hrs is on it, you should recoup at least 3/4's of the new purchase price if not more.

FWIW, I prefer to stay OEM and only modify or go aftermarket when economics and/or situation slants heavily in favor of going that route. I've discovered over the yrs that OEM takes alot less maintenance and ;asts longer than my modifications and aftermarket add-ons generally do.
So with that said I would probably ask $1k for the BX2230 MMM and go for the OEM BX24 MMM. But thats JMHO.

Good luck

Thanks for the information, ebay would be a good idea but the way I work that would be impossible, was at the dealer when doors opened this morning. After haggling for awhile wound up getting new deck to fit 24 for $800 and my deck. I know thats not great and I'm not to happy either but didn,t have much choice. Just a costly learning experience. Any way maybe this will save somebody else from making same mistake. Thanks

they must have done something. My 2200 deck would have fit fine according to the dealer, but I bought a new one anyway with the 23.

The way I understand it they changed several things on the new models this year. While i was at the dealer this morning, he showed me several used decks he had that would fit most previus models. All of them had the same bracket on deck for rear lift arms but the new one I bought was made different. Nothing against the new mower decks but I liked the older style better for the metal plates and grass deflector than the plastic on new ones. Anyway costly mistake but still wouldn't take GOLD for my bx24.
