I have a BX25 that I am working the crap out of and extremely pleased (1K HRs in less than 3 years). I find that the FEL and BH are on a lot and also need the 3 PT a lot. Looking at getting a 2370 or 2670 with a MMM as my wife hates the new Husqvarna I just bought her. Then I have the 3 PT available as the mower drops off easily, they claim. I was pricing on line at the K site and there is only $1K more to get the additional HP of the 2670 to run chipper, brush hog, and tiller. We need to do some of these ops concurrent with the BH and FEL of the 25. A good reason to not have a MMM on the 25.

Questions for you current owners of those machines:
1. Does the mower drop as easy as they claim?
2. Does your wife like the MMM for large areas? We have a AC of lawn grass.
3. Do the 2370 and 2670s have the same rear hydraulic set-up as the BX25 does for the BH? I am building a splitter I would use on the new tractor so the 25 is set up to handle the fire wood ops.

I have 25 acres, of which maybe 1 acre is lawn that needs mowing, and I would never buy a $2000 MMM for my BX 25, given how much of a pain it is to put on and remove, from all reports.

I just borrow a riding mower from one of my neighbors, and that is more than enough for my needs. Even if I did want my own, I could buy a nice riding mower for probably $1000 or so brand-new, so why spend $2000 on something that has to be put on and taken off, when I want to use the backhoe or do some brushwork or what have you? It is just an encumbrance on the BX 25.

I have a BX25 with a MMM, but I use my old Wheel Horse garden tractor to mow, mostly so I don't have to put on/take off the MMM on the BX25. Takes longer to put on than take off, logically, and I would say about 15 minutes if you do it often enough, and have a hard, flat surface to do it on. Not my favorite implement to switch out, but others don't seem to mind.

As for the hydraulic connections, the non BH models do not have the power beyond loop that the BX25 does for the hoe, BUT, Kubota offers a neat dual rear remote option for the non-BH models for a bit over $300 (plus installation if you don't do it yourself). I added the remotes to my old BX1860 and ran a small wood splitter off of it, plus I fabbed up a hydraulic top link from a Surplus Center swivel eye cylinder. Still using the HTL on my BX25. Here's a pic of the remotes on my BX1860.

Hey, Check, I'm curious. Where can one buy a $1,000 riding mower that will last more than half a season? A good push mower is almost that. Any riders I'd even consider are pushing 10 times what you're suggesting..............

Home Depot, Lowes, Canadian tire, etc. The most expensive ones only around $2000, and they even have John Deere. Also, there are lots and lots of used ones for sale all over the place.

Not sure what planet you BX owners come from whet it takes 15 minutes to remove or install. BX MMM.
Mine is on or off in about 5. Get four tri-wheeled cup casters, drop the deck wheels into them, disconnect the links, chassis, and PTO and roll it out in the driveway. Want it quicker? Use your loader to lift the front on the tractor. The biggest pain is reconnecting the PTO on reinstall.

That explains it. I would never consider buying one of those big box store pieces of junk. They are built down to a price, not up to a standard, no matter the color. Case in point, a few years ago a buddy of mine bought one, while I bought a 20 year old tractor for about the same price. Two years later, he was buying another one, and I had a 22 year old tractor still running with a little TLC.

I'm interested to see how long it takes me. I bought mine last fall with a snow blower attached and 60" deck they are storing for me until spring. I don't have a concrete floor, I have a yard to work in. I don't have a loader either. Just about everything everyone has said is required, I do not have!

you are forgetting the folks that has arthritis and back issues. some people cant pull back collar and slide shaft on with one hand. you need to be able to lay on back/side to do that too. some people just cant do it. In this case a RFM would be a better choice .
