The tractor is great for grading and loader work to finish
a yard and dig new or loose soil. Loader performace is excellent for my personal needs. Grading with a 5' blade works good with medium size bites and a loader on the front. Cutting tall(24") field grass is no problem for the 54" deck, I felt the engine only labored a little at 2/3 throttle(plenty of reserve hp). Cutting my yard 6" tall grass is no problem the tactor is barely working. Having demoed the 18hp version, I believe it would have done the job.
I have had two problems as follows:
The arm that holds the mower deck bracket which is welded to a sleve that is attached to the shaft with a pin and cotter-pin broke a weld. The left side of my mower deck then fell down(is that confusing). I had to remove the sleve from the shaft and re-weld the arm to the sleve and put the sleve back on the shaft with the pin and cotter-pin. Dealer would have kept the tractor for two weeks. Not acceptable this time of the year. It was just a poor weld. The second problem was the turnsignal started flashing and i could not turn it off with the tractor running. I unplugged the swith. I still need to get that fixed.
Even with the above mentioned problems I am impressed with how sturdy the tractor feels and its abilities. It walks right-up a 30% grade hill while cutting 24" tall grass.
