I promised someone in the General Operating forum that I would post pictures of the work light installation on my BX-22 when I got them taken care of...which finally happened on Saturday. The lights are trapezoidal tractor lights from Northern Tool and I'm pleased with the light they give...super for FEL work and "night/twilight" mowing.

The mounts are bent from 1/8" x 1/5" aluminum and the bolts on the lights also serve to "clamp" the mounts around the ROPS. I'm not overly pleased with the wire ties to hold the wire/channel, but it does serve to keep things in place while allowing me to reposition the wiring to where it works best...which after my first mow of the season yesterday may be inside the ROPS, rather than on the surface!

Three pictures...three posts...and a bonus picture of the new 3pt lift arm adjusters that I also finally got installed. I'm done with tractor mods. Back to woodworking next weekend! <G>

Picture 3: Switch on dashboard. This is a Radio Shack automotive switch. Power comes off the OEM work light circuit located under the operator seat.

Free bonus picture...new lift-arm sway adjusters per the "WALT" method posted awhile back on TBN. (These are B2710 parts modified to work on the BX)

Jim,

Can you post a picture of the wire under the seat? I still haven't been able to locate that connector.

Thanks,

Gregg

Attached is the picture you requested. Please note that there are two +12v connectors and on ground. You want to use the power from the harness that comes out at the same place as the ground. On my machine, the wire is red with a black stripe. This is the connection for the OEM work light kit on the harness. The other +12v is a smaller guage wire.

Since I didn't want the switch on the back of the tractor, I installed in in the dash in a location that already was pre-formed for additional switches at the factory. I drilled a 15/16" hole as required by the switch I used. The switch has three connections...ground, power and load. Power and load travel via 12 guage red wires to the connections under the seat.
