how to replace
Ill be doing the left one on my BX1500 soon. ... Looks like just drain trans, pull seal outward free of housing, remove exposed spring clip holding bearing in and then just pull the axle.
Dont know. ... Ill bet that it is not pressed, but positively located by a shoulder in the housing and a circlip or fine thread nut etc. on the shaft. It would be a pretty heavy press fit to be sure to keep it in position against thrust loading. A prohibitive stress for that thin inner race. ... Cant be too complicated for that many tasks and oil and some parts, maybe incl bearings for $323.A friend just had the axle seals replaced at the dealer in his BX2200. They replaced both and changed the fluid and filter, $323. Looked too complicated for me to tackle. After you get the axle out, is there another spring clip holding the bearing on the axle or is it pressed on?

,,,,, Check. ... buzzbomb, if its too much just take the removed axle to the dealer for seal fitment.Good deal, let us know how that bearing comes off, can't put the seal on the axle without removing the bearing.
Good news. Congrats! and thanks for follow up.Mission accomplished,as stated just had to pry out old seal with a stiff putty knife, remove the ring or clip with snap ring pliers .I did have to bend the pins a little
to get the right angle to access the snap ring. Pulled the axle and bearing out and remover ring holding the bearing on the axle. Tapped the bearing off the axle
it was just a light tap fit, not a heavy press. I did replace the bearing also, just to be safe. All in all not that bad a job. Thanks to all for the advise and suggestions.
