Does anyone know the dealer cost on these models ? How about with 54" mowers and FEL ? I have been to http://www.kazez.com/~will/kubota.html

I don't see where there is a problem. The poster hasn't listed where he is living, and for all we know it might be next door to Dan. I believe that the Kubota dealer contract might be a violation of law, however not having read it myself, I can't say for certain. The last time I checked, this is still the United States of America where people are free to purchase what ever they like where ever they like. Neil.... If I wanted to purchase a Kubota from you, would you refuse to sell it to me, because I don't live in your geographical selling area? If am willing to come to your place of business and pick it up, I think not. From what I have heard, it is not allowable for a Kubota dealer to sell outside of his territory and ship the product. If there is more to this, please tell us the total details so we may become properly informed of Kubota restrictions on the dealers.

It's to protect franchise agreements. It may not seem fair to many folks but it protects the business people.

Look at Sony products. They only have SRP posted and then CALL FOR PRICING. It's common business practice like it or not.

I'm guessing dealerdan was trying to make a deal and didn't think about the Dealers Agreement that is posted on the Kubota site for all to see.

I'm not saying I like the DA or dislike the DA, but it's one of the rules dealers must agree too before getting a dealership.

Neil,

I am simply providing a potential customer with pricing information, the same as I would by telephone or face to face.
The Kubota Dealer Agreement states that all sales must be made face to face. Again, I am not SELLING here, but only providing information.

I should have been more clear. Its my understanding that we are prohibited from posting pricing on the internet. That's what I was responding to.

I actually transferred a tractor from you guys about three months ago. Nice place you have there.

What would the purpose of such a policy be except to try to keep the consumer in the dark about pricing and to stiffle competition. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Certainly not customer friendly and it make you wonder what they are trying to hide! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
