I went to a few dealers and one gave me a run around with pricing. Then I went to another and said he had a BX1500 with FEL and 54mmm for 10,700.Then a nother said he had a left over 2003 model he wants to get rid of for 9,800 with the same attachments.sound good to anyone. And it is brand new
I saved my 2003 BX series price quotes. My 2 local Kubota dealers both gave me a price of $8300.00 for a BX1500 with a 54"mmm. The 2004 prices have not changed much. I live in Northeastern Ohio.
For $900 less I would definitely go with last year's model. If there are any changes, I believe it would only be a newer style rubber boot on the joystick (loader) 2004 model might have a 4 position valve standard, and the new model might have operator presence safety equipment. Not exactly sure what they changed. I also have been told that Kubota doesn't really go by model years, they just call it the year that you buy it in.
If you were comparing a BX2200 towards a BX2230 then there would be more obvious changes. Until they make a BX1530, I wouldn't worry what model year the BX1500 is. Just my opinion,
By the way, I can't find a BX1500 around here for less than $10,600
