Buying used tz25da

Looking at buying a 2005 tz25da with a 60"mmm and a FEL with 500 hours.

I have never owned a tractor before, so had a few questions.

1st- when I started it up first time it had not been started for several days. There was blue smoke out of the exhaust for about 3-4 seconds and then it was fine. When I throttled up to top rpm, there was a puff of blue smoke the too, but then it was fine. I adjusted rpm's up and down several more times, but there was never any more blue smoke. It only happened initially at startup.

Is this something to be concerned about?

2nd- everything seemed to function well, but the couldn't locate how to activate the emergency brake. I stepped on the pedal, which felt very loose, but not sure what to do to lock it in place. Also, what is the pedal to the left of the emergency brake? Owner didn't know and I have no clue.

Anything else I should look for? Seat pan, fenders, and plastic were good. No cracks or anything. Hydraulics were strong and engine ran well and seemed to have good power.

Seller is asking 9250$, but with dents and dings and just general wear, I'm going to try to get him down some more.

The smoke is normal. It's a diesel, they all do that. Not as much when warm. The pedal to the left of the brake is the rear diff lock. It's much needed when doing loader work. When I had my TZ24DA I used it all the time. I can't remember how to lock the brake.. Never really had to on my flat ground.

He is close on price. I sold mine without a mower, and 1235 hours for $7600. The fender pan had cracks that had been welded, and a couple other little funky things. If you get him down to $8500, I would say you did good.
