the trailer i (think i) want is a 14k tandem axle single wheel 18+2 bumper pull (2 5/16").

the local dealer has a doolittle for $4400 firm
a dealer about an hour away has a lawrimore for $3450 (quite a difference)

the doolittle has ez-lift ramps, they really are easy to lift! also has braces built in. you can also remove them. it has removable fenders as well. it seems to be a very well built trailer.

the lawrimore i dont know as much about, i believe it has detachable ramps. not sure about the fenders.

the $1000 price difference is hard to ignore. wondering if any of you have experience with these trailers.

also, if anyone wants a liberty patriot 16' 7k trailer, let me know :)

no, it is not a deckover. the fact it has removable fenders makes me think it would be ok if i had something wide, i could just drive over the tires on the trailer.

i am pretty sure i want removable ramps, and at least 20' and maybe 22 (or 24?).

I saw a Doolittle trailer today. Looks well made, but, skimped out in some areas (at least the 2 I saw on the lot). Wiring could have been better (cheap connectors), break away battery was in an awkward spot with no test button, I wasn't so much a fan of the ramp ends (looks like they could bend easily). Other than that, looks like a beast!!!

FWIW, I bought a 20' Maxum 10k for $3850, they offered me the 20' 14k Doolittle for $4250.

Lawrimore great trailer - solid. Almost bought one of their dumps. Good value for the money-compare the specs and the construction and the welding.

Where are you from? The reason I ask is Lone Wolf trailers factory is just down the road from Lawrimore. They have really good looking trailers as well. It was hard deciding between the two.
