I posted this question on in the general topics, but thought it might get more traction here. Has anybody used a NH dealer to get parts for their LS tractor? I am thinking of buying a used LS G3038 but there isn't a LS dealer within 100 miles of my location. I looked up the parts manuals for the G3038 and a Workmaster 40 and they look to be identical on the parts and assembly diagrams (I looked at fuel filter, oil filter, and some gaskets) with the only difference being a 'MT' added to the NH part number. Just seeing if anyone has used a NH dealer for parts.....

That was the case with mine too. As I had dealt with Messick's before, I ordered a couple of my LS filters there. Case/ New Holland part #s were the same and the filter was the same. Plus I can compare their IPL with mine. A side effect too is that if you dig in the IPLs, you can also see accessories in the NH line that weren't offered in LS. Or at least that I have found.

Interesting question and it sounds like you did your home work. When I was looking at all the tractors around before I decided on the LS MT125 I read or was told LS built some of the NH tractors. So would be good news for you if they were close to the same exact machines. What is interesting to me is my local LS dealer tried the LS franchise and sold his stock and no longer is a dealer for LS. So my local parts source is gone. But there is a big NH dealer in town. So it will be interesting to see how this thread develops as I may have a new source for parts other then the internet.

Yes. LS makes the majority of NH models. If you know the part number for your LS part, you can cross reference the NH part using the NH Agriculture/My Shed app and adding MT as a prefix. Example: if your LS part number is 40283380 (oil filter) the NH part number is MT40283380. You are correct about the extras....by looking at the parts diagrams for the NH equivalent of my tractor I was able to identify accessories and extras that were not available to me via LS.

The only parts I got at the NH dealer were rear tail light assemblies. I went on the NH website schematic for their comparable tractor and found the part number. Went to the dealership and the parts person brought up the same schematic. We matched the parts number and ordered the parts. Shipping was very quick and parts were identical.

I have a G3038 and have bought Workmaster 40 parts from our local NH dealer and they have always been fine. I like to support the LS dealer but the NH dealer is a ton closer and sometimes the convenience wins out. Ditto what others said about the accessories. I was able to buy extendable lift arms from the NH dealer because I found them in the NH parts catalog but LS dealer said he could not get them.
