I have an opportunity to purchase a 2008 JD 5525. It's 4WD cab model w/FEL 200 hours for $39,500 (firm). Is this a fair/reasonable price for this low hours JD tractor in excel cond? Appears to have been stored in a barn. Thanks for all relies in advance! SB

Have you seen the tractor? The reason I ask is maybe 10 months ago in my local paper (with a picture) there was a tractor that you described and it was a scam. My neighbor was trying to buy it and I found a matching picture on tractorhouse.com and it was over $50,000.

Yes, it's legit, it's local...nice, just trying to find out if the price is fair market value. Just not familiar with JD tractors. Thanks for the reply!

Those sites, I provided should help on the cost as transmission/SCVs play a big role in cost. Here is a JD site that provides an online copy of the operators manual.

They came down on the price, JD tech inspection went well with no issues, came with 3pt hay fork and FEL hay spear, so I purchased it yesterday.
