I currently own a 2004 Kubota RTV 900. I have had many maintenance issues with it. I currently have 548 hours on the meter. Yes I use my RTV. I am looking at trading up to the Tool Cat. I am wondering what maintenance issues I will come upon with the ToolCat. I would like to hear from other ToolCat users.

Do a search through the archives or just start at the beginning and read them all. Are you looking for new or used. There has been 4 different series of toolcats. The latest, the D series just started selling 1-2 months ago. Some issues have surfaced in the past. The C series has pretty well worked out most of the mechanical issues. D series is similar in looks and ability but uses a spine frame design and independant suspension of all 4 wheels. Few other minor changes. Any issues related to new frame design/suspension is unknown at this time. Lots of information about the toolcat is here on TBN.
The toolcat and kutoba RTV are really totally different machines. I am surprised your RTV has had issues. What kind of problems.
I am not an owner of a toolcat but have researched them closely. I am sure others will give opinions.

I bought mine used with around 230 hours on it a little over a year ago. At that time all of the Bobcat updates were complete. Since then one additional update came out and Bobcat took care of that. The unit was down for probably an hour.

Last summer when it finally warmed up enough to run the air for the first time I discovered it was not blowing cold air. A buddy with the equipment charged the system and I have not had a problem with that again.

I do the scheduled maintenance myself. I have right at 500 hours on it now and have completed the 500 hour service items. Other than that, the Toolcat has a fair amount of grease points that you need to take care of on a regular basis.

As DSB mentions, other than grease, I haver not had any issues. I bought my C series new and have approx. 170 hours on mine. I am actually considering trading to a D series in another 12 to 18 months. At that time most of my grunt tasks will be complete and then I will enjoy the smoother ride.
I did have Bobcat do my 50 hour maintenance and they will next be servicing it at 250 hrs. I just check the oil and radiator filter about once every 10-15 hours.
