Buying a new tractor

he quoted me 22500 with a backhoe and 16400 for tractor and front end loader.

What transmission did the G3033 have that he quoted $16,400? With the shuttle shift my dealer quotes $14,999. R,

It was for shuttle shift. I think everything is more expensive in Maine. He is the only dealer around and the price certainly beats out any other brand.

Wow! Something to consider....RCO tractors in Texas ships LS all over the country. It might be worth getting a quote from them, if only as a bargaining chip to use with your dealer...often saving on taxes covers the cost of shipping.

I was in the same dilemma on my purchase. I've only used it to do a couple minor things, most of the time it sets in my barn. Those couple minor things I've done could have been done by me in no other way, and in my mind totally paid for the purchase in the lack of backpain... HOURS of backbreaking work completed in MINUTES. Scheduling a rental and my free time to coincide is difficult to say the least, having a hoe that goes on and off in minutes has given me thousands of new options. Buy it, play with it a little, and if your experience is anything like mine, rainbows appear, bunnies and chipmunks dance around your feet, and everything seems magical! Well, maybe not, but you'll quickly see it was worth the extra cash...
