Buying a 2520--How Long before delivery?

Ok, so I have been almost 2 weeks just trying to get the tractor that I said I wanted.

Started off, 46 backhoe on order, none in stock.
Saw that the 270 would come out some month year, so cancelled the backhoe until it comes out.
Then yesterday found out that the Power Beyond is out of stock and on order, but they got a whole slew of 46 backhoes!
Not sure about all the tractors that can use the 46 BH, but I would assume for a great deal of them they would use the same Power Beyond.

To be honest, with all this prep work that I am paying for, I would think these places would move a little faster. They hadn't even got me in the cue yet!

Maybe I am just expecting when I go buy something I should be able to leave with it. I guess I have too high of expectations.:confused2:

I am also looking at a 2520 and at this point dealer said it is taking about four weeks to get the tractor in from date of placing order. Also not getting a hoe until the 270 is out.

Mine is being delivered today ordered in on 4/16, the thing I waited on the longest was the FEL. They had to weld the support plates for the hooks on the bucket and add the tooth bar which they did yesterday. So it has been almost 4 weeks since I placed my order....

I've been told early / mid July on an order from a couple weeks ago.

Apparently demand is huge because of the 2500$ incentive.

According to the dealer they cannot even get 2520's from other dealers via a dealer-dealer transfer since no one wants to give theirs up.

I ordered a 2520 2 weeks ago this Saturday. I knew up front that they had to order the tractor. I was in no hurry. tmshort is correct they appear to be selling like hot cakes. The display model was sold and the dealer really wanted to keep one on the lot for customers to look at. I notice the same thing at another dealer

I still think as we approach the end on the month when the $2,500 incentive is scheduled to end even more 2520s will be sold.

When I did the deal on my 2520, all the major parts (tractor, 200CX, 62D and RB2060) were at the dealer in about a week or 10 days. But, it appeared nobody knew how to correctly order the components of the deck lift, the diverter valve was back ordered, the FEL didn't have the right hood guard, and they forgot to order the forward lighting kit.

Every time they would have a shop tech work on completing the set up, they would find they were missing something else. They didn't have any process for verifying that they had all the parts before they assigned the job to a service tech. After nearly six weeks, I showed up one morning and told them that this was the day they were delivering the tractor to me. They did, and then took it back a few weeks later to complete the work, then came out to my house to fix a broken hydraulic line after I took a shower in hydraulic fluid the first time I used the diverter valve.

So, I'm sure that there are widely varying stories on setup and delivery times from other owners, but I would say that a couple of weeks isn't awfully long to wait.

I ordered mine today and wass told 2 to 3 weeks. The other guy I was thinking of ordering from told me 4 to 6 weeks. So I guess it depends on who is ordering them. My guy that told me 2-3 weeks I have a funny feeling they order them all the time b/c they can't keep them on the lot and mine is just part of an order they placed. Good luck

My dealer has 12 on the lot! It has been two weeks and getting frustrating cause of the same issues as other. Not enough parts for this or that.
