Buying a 1997 Massey GC2310 or 2001 Kioti KIOTI CK 20? Help!?

Hey everyone!

I have been working so hard on fixing up my property so that I can finally refinance and do a lot of projects. I am going to be buying a tractor this weekend hopefully, and I need advice.

Both are 12k price range.. The 1997 Massey Ferguson has 1400 hours on it and appears in good condition for the hours. The Kioti only has 350 hours on it and I love that the backhoe has a seat on it.

I am so nervous about making this purchase and I was hoping for some advice. I know condition has a lot to do with it, but doesn't brand also?

Any advice on what I should do?

The Kioti is twice the tractor at half the age of the Massey. I don't know why that's a hard decision, is there more to the story? I would think that if you didn't move fairly quickly on the Kioti it will be sold and the decision made for you, without the help of TBN.

Don't get rushed into making a purchase you might regret. Also think about the service factor. Are there good Kioti and MF dealers near you? Does one have a better reputation than the other? Look at how long do you plan to own thus tractor and future part availability.

I had a 2003 CK20 with backhoe that I loved. Tough, tough little tractor. I believe the Massey is a SCUT but the CK is a CUT.

I actually just saw the tractor and I believe I am going to buy the Kioti. It's in great shape and has low hours. The previous owner was in his 80's and kept it inside. I just have a good feeling about it, and the dealer is close to me, and will service it. I just had a good feeling about them.

Hopefully it will be able to pull up small stumps, and help me clear a little land and move some wood. I am really excited about it, and think if I decide to purchase it, they will be delivering it to me on Tuesday!

Well, I am not where I can see both tractors, but the 1100 hours difference is about 11 years of use for the average user. I use my tractor a bit more than 100 hours a year, but not a whole lot more. Something to think about. Kioti makes a good tractor, I bet you would be very happy with the CK20
