I know, I know. The title of this post should be self-evident, but...
I priced rear tires for my JD 214 at the Farm store, a big Hardware/garden center and even on line. The best price I could get was $99 per tire, not installed. (on line was cheaper, until you add the freight). On a whim, I passed an independent Tire dealer and got 2 Carlisle "Turf Savers", installed, with taxes and disposal fee for just over $80 each.
Another reminder that when you go to the "we've got everything" stores, they usually buy most things in smaller volume that a specialist and can't meet price or service. You will pay for convenience....
