The CFO has relunctantly given me the ok the buy the 2320. The salesman told me last week that this month is Deere's year end. Also, I think the special offers/incentives end on the 26th. Anybody have any advice? Should I order/buy now or wait a few days for the new incentives to come out? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Well I look at it this way they can't sell these things during the useing season how are they going to sell them in the winter?
I think the deals will be back and maybe sweeter. I have had dealers tell me how many they are selling but I see the same inventory sitting on the lot.
Most people cannot afford these @ 36 months they would sell twice as many @ 48 months JMHO.
With oil prices up and mortgages going bad who is buying these things, when I had kids At home and paying for a house I couldn't. Thats why I'm here now and not ten years ago:D

That's a tough question - I've been in the same situation a couple times over the years with the Deere incentives.

Are you thinking of using the 0% for 36 months?

That deal has been around at Deere for years now, but with rising interest rates, who knows if they will continue it.

I'm pretty close with my dealer, and even he honestly doesn't know what the new rates/incentives will be - Deere is very tight with not letting this information out ahead of time.

Thanks. No, we're not going with the zero for 36. We're young and just bought this place a year ago. We thought the GX345 would be enough based on how the lawn/property looked. We should have known better, we're much more particular than the previous owners (who actually now live next door, and are our friends). In order for the lawn to be the size we want and the condition we want the rest of the acreage to be, we need something bigger. So, knowing we're in it for the long haul with the 2320, we're going to finance for a longer priod of time, so we can get working on the property, and still adjust to the new much bigger mortgage payment. I'm going on Monday to order/buy: 2320 with turfs, FEL, 62D MMM, and 47" front mounted snowblower. I put the plow truck up for sale yesterday, so we're ready! I can't wait. I'll keep you posted.

Sounds great!

Don't feel bad about the extended financing at all.

I slowly have worked my up over the years. Started out with a 332 (diesel) lawn and garden tractor with mowing deck and hydraulic front blade.
Like you, it was just not enough for the projects I needed to get done around the house, so traded up to a 2210 about 3 years ago.
Like you, we were just a couple years into a new mortgage, so I financed for 5 years @5.9%.
About a year ago, I sold our older Ford pickup - and that money went to pay off the 2210. Man, that felt good to have that beautiful machine paid for with only 200 hours on it!

Of course, as my projects around the house got more completed, I started working more in the woods area. I soon saw the need for something with larger wheels/tires and more clearance.

Long story short, my dealer gave me a heck of a deal on a 2520 - just about gave me my original cost on my 2210 on trade. So, I was lucky enough to be able to afford the payments 0% @ 36 this way.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one in your type of situation - I've been there too.

Good luck, and keep us posted - and don't forget to share pics!

Same here, when my kids were younger, I could not do it, and thank goodness I did not have much property either, but as the kids got older,. the family got larger, the house got bigger as the jobs moved to different states. So now I got a 4310 and only 1.25 acre of grass to cut, and also some brush to cut to expand my grass. Tractor sure is fun for a lot of things though!

One thing nice about a plow truck is a warm cab, a radio and no blowing snow in your face. An old 4x4 pickup (like a 77 Chev 4x4 8300gvw) is perfect for occasional snow removal on the lane. Now I'm using an open station tractor with a rear blade which has ceased being fun. Good luck with the new 2320 tractor.

Well Yourkie...its too late for the plow truck. I sold it on Tuesday. It was quite a hot item here in Western NY this time of year! The warm cab was nice, but having the extra expense of a third vehicle (especially one that wasn't always so reliable) outweighed the warmth. I decided to wait a week to see what new incentives Deere was going to offer. So, its off to the dealer tomorrow to buy.

I just checked the Deere site (Mon 10/29 9am) - they haven't changed the financing promos yet.

Curious what the new promos will be - let us know how you make out.
