Dad is considering parting ways with his SQ84t and dropping to a 6' single spindle cutter. Not a whole lot out there for sale now at a reasonable price in the used market.
I just sold my 306. But it only had a 1:1 gearbox (10k blade speed) and was heavy at ~1050# Which on his tractor would require leaving the loader on to mow.
So he is looking for something in the 700-800# range. Something similar to a Landpride 1872 @ 737# or a Woods BB72x at 804#. But not low end like the 1272 @ 564# or the HC72 at 625 or the whole host of cheap cutters in the 500-600# range.
There is a bushhog 206 for sale now. Needs alot of work but for the price would be worth it if its in the right weight range. And the gearbox on them would give a respectable 14k blade speed.
So anyone know what these old 206 cutters weight.
