Bush-Hog 287

[Nelson Farms]

I got an Bush hog brand cutter model 287 and it's leakin round the gearbox by the PTO shaft when you run it for a while. Any suggestions on why this occurring?

1. Seal failure.
2. Bearing and seal failure.
3. Overfull gearbox.
4. Failed or missing gearbox vent.

You have 2 options if it is seal failure

1. replace the seal, which can be quite a job or easy as pie, just depends on how it comes appart
2. drain the oil and run a 0 or 00 grease
