New mower to replace our 16 year old Bush Whacker came in Monday morning. We were looking at a Bush Hog 2815 or Rhino 3150, but with the recent price increases, the 2215 was what the budget could afford. The deck is 10 versus 7 gauge and its rated to cut 3.5" brush. That is more than I'll mow with it - until it isn't.
After the 6th wettest year on record, with much of it falling this past winter, we're now short on rain for the spring. Being dry, I haven't done much other than trim some weeds in a couple pastures. While not a strenuous test for the machine, it does do a much better job than the old mower over the same conditions.
If we ever get rain, I'll see how it does in some thicker grass.
