Just making an enquiry regarding a Bunton BT234 hydro mower i picked up at a clearing sale.I have never seen one of these in Australia before and cant find any info on it.It is in good condition except for the Kohler v-twin which is way underpowered.The only info i have found, is it came from the factory with a 2 cylinder Deutz and that's what i'm looking for to put back in.
Could anyone advise me on what oil to use for the transmission? There is no hydraulic oil reservoir on this machine at all which i find a bit strange.There is also a hydro filter at the rear of the gear drive,but it doesn't appear to have an oil drain anywhere.When i removed the filter it looked as though it had ATF fluid in there.
I really like this machine because it's built like a tank and the hydraulics are really smooth.It has a 6 foot cut, hydraulic deck lift and i think it will be a fantastic mower with the Deutz diesel.I would appreciate any info that anyone can pass on to me. It's a shame manufacturer's dont build equipment like this anymore!!
