I just moved into a house which had been vacant for several years. Now that it's turned warm outside, the bumblebees are swarming. They burrow into the wood of the deck. At night, you can hear them gnawing (or whatever they do) inside the posts. I've tried the foaming wasp/hornet spray, but it doesn't kill enough of them. They are about to make the deck unsafe. I think people refer to these as "white face" bumblebees. They don't seem too aggressive, in fact, you can walk right through a swarm of them and they won't bother you. But...they're eating my deck! Any suggestions?

Years ago I had a nest of the agressive type bumble bees. I put some sulfur powder in the path to the nest & it got rid of them.
