Buhler(sp?) finish mower

One of my neighbors is selling a Buhler finish mower for a very reasonable price. He says it was purchased at a John Deere dealership and it does have the dealer's sticker from our local dealer on it. I've never heard of this brand and don't know anything about it. Is this a good finish mower? 6' rear discharge.

It is a Farm King. Doesn't look like it's been used very much at all. Just a few scrapes in the paint along the sides like it's grazed up against a fench or something. He asking $800 for it. Seems like it would be worth that.

I own a Buhler 72" Finishing mower and used for 7 years with no troubles.(might need new blades after this year) Also have Buhler snowblower and rototiller and all is good.

Well, this is really eating at me.... on one hand I have a chance to pick up a what appears to be a really nice, almost new Buhler Farm King. On the other hand I've found an older JD 272 for about $75 less. In reality, I probably shouldn't spend the money for either right now. I'm sure there will be other deals in the future, but I hate to "let one get away".

i have a farm king/buhler 6 foot rear discharge and love it. definetely worth the $800. i paid $1000 for mine used, but it came with a brand new set of blades for spares. I've used it pretty hard for two summers now and had no problems. Easy to get parts for at most implement dealers as well.

Out of curiousity... what is the tallest, thickest grass your tackled with the Farm King?
