Does anyone know where I can get removeable bucket teeth for my 50" Kubota bucket?

I just ordered one form Carver Equipment. Their web address is www.carverequipment.com. The ones they sell are custom made and they will want the inside measurement of your bucket.

Got mine at Corriher Implement. www.corimpco.com. As above, they will also want your bucket inside dimension.

Thanks for the info guys. My dealer thought that putting teeth on my Kubota 7610 with the 352 loader would cause too much stress on the loader and the drive train. I think that he is crazy. Any opinions on the topic?

I think your dealer needs to become educated on toothbars. Yes, one can put too much stress on the loader if one isn't careful, but for the most part, they work great and don't cause any problems. There are THOUSANDS of loaders with toothbars, and you don't hear any complaints do you? I sure haven't. John

The fact of the matter is that with a toothbar you probably put less stress on things...because you actually can dig into things better, so you don't just get the bucket hung up and stalled as much, which pushes the hydraulics into the "trip the PRV mode..."

One way the toothbar could cause a little more work to be done by the loader is because it may extend the lower lip a bit, allowing your bucket to hold a little more.

I figure my 54" bucket with a toothbar would hold less than the 60" optional bucket that I did not buy, so...doesn't worry me at all...

I don't think that you are much more likely to overstress your FEL, or its hydraulics, with a toothbar than you are without it. True it is easier to get under a rock or tree roots with a toothbar, but if you can't curl it you'll find that out pretty quick, at which point you probably should dig a bit more (hope you also have a BH /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) rather than trying to force it.

I have a toothbar on my B7800, which is only a bit more powerful, and I get a great deal of use out of it and don't worry much about overstressing it.

A good toothbar acts to reinforce the FEL's cutting blade and, in MHO, makes it less likely to bend or twist the FEL bucket. I'm not sure of this, but I think that all of the hydraulic lines have a limit valve which diverts fluid back to the reservoir when maximum rated pressure has been reached, so if what you're trying to lift or curl requires more force than the FEL can exert, when you reach maximum pressure and still can't move the target object the fluid is being diverted, rather than bursting the lines or the hydraulic pump.

Perhaps someone who understands hydraulics better can confirm this or tell me that I am wrong and explain what happens when you try to lift something that your tractor can't handle.

MadDog, I think you're right on mark about that. I've been thinking about this and the only trouble I could see is that sometimes one gets only one or two teeth on one end of the toothbar stuck in something and that could give some uneven twists to the loader that may not be good, but I don't think that's very serious. I know at times that some deep roots have gotten hold on one end and made it hard to pull them out without more pressure on that end, but I've never even broken a tooth or bent anything. John
