I have the FEL level indicator on my tractor. After using the loader half a day, i noticed that the indicator bar had rubbed the rubber off one of my hydraulic hoses. It never went through the steel braid. I took it off and turned the bracket upside down, and its better, but it still rubs and is extrememly close when you curl the bucket. Has anyone had this issue? Is there a way around it? I just took it off altogether.

Can you mount it somewhere else? If you don't use it much, just leave it off.

The bucket level indicator actually comes from the factory upside down (threads pointing up) and it is part of the dealer prep to turn it around (threads pointing down). That doesn't always happen. I had the same thing happen on my TC29 and it almost pulled my hydraulic hose out of the fitting. Once I turned it around with the threads down and the piece that holds the indicator rod under the hydraulic arm it worked just fine.

Hope that helps.

I tried reversing the piece with the 'eye' in it. but either way, the rod seems to be dangerously close to either the hose or the metal hose end.

Can you tie the hoses down a bit with zip ties.. or add a rubber sheath 9 garden hose? ) to them for abrasion resistance. i've done both of these techniques to various hoses on my tractors and loaders to keep lines from rubbing where they shouldn't
