I needed more capacity in my FEL bucket for picking up leaves, pine needles and yard trash. So I made this extension from a piece of aluminum a friend gave me and an old steel frame I had laying around. It fits to the bucket lower lip, I have the side braces and use an old ratchet strap from underneath to keep it in place.
It works out great, I can rake stuff right into it and it dumps past vertical making it easy to unload. I can pile branches on top of it and they dump very well also.

Cool, what's the rake for? Don't you just drive around to fill it?:D

Nice fit, looks just right for light bulky stuff.

That big bucket is great for those light jobs. You did a nice job on it. I was surprised to find just how big a bucket of leaves I could carry. Last year I built a 2cuyd bucket for my little bx23. I just finished up up my second leaf season with it and I am still very pleased with it and the amount of work it saves me. Running a tractor is a lot more fun than running a hand rake!

Stimw, if I might suggest something.... I would take a grinder and round off the corners on your homemade scoop bucket. Those look awfully sharp should someone trip, lose their balance, or somehow fall onto one of those corners. Just thought I would point that out to ya. Otherwise, you did a super job on it!

Running on hot coals is better than running a hand rake. Ha!
