Kubota 3200HSD
I have a 2009 B3200HSD with a front mow blower and a 6' rear blade. I am looking at purchasing a LA504 loader but I am looking for some advice whether to go with the Kubota QA or buy a SSQA. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

With that loader you can get the pin on style Kubota qa (#B1658) and Kubota now offers a SSQA (#B2366) for the new LA534 FEL (and the associated buckets and blades) but will also fit the LA504 loader for the B3200/3300. A member did purchase this new SSQA for his B3200 and said it worked great. It is heavier than the pin on qa, and that is a consideration. I have the Kubota pin on qa and it weighs right around 20-25 lbs. the Kubota SSQA weighs more but it is less than some aftermarket brands.
Do a search for kubota whole goods and you can see the items available.

Folks are correct that the SSQA will be heavier (and more $). I have the QA and even if the SSQA had been available when I was buying I don't think I would have gone that direction simply because of the weight. In the end it reduces the lift capacity of the loader reagardless of whether using the bucket, forks, blade, etc. and at least for me that was important. But I also wanted the flexibility of having multiple attachments (particularly forks). The pins are slightly less convenient than the SS but not so much so that I am not perfectly content with the purchase.

I recently sold my B3300SU, which had the optional pin-on bucket. I work mostly in the woods and do a lot of clearing. I had the lynch pins open in the woods and flip off, allowing the bucket to slide off the pin on one side. I did not notice in the jungle and bent the bucket support bracket. This was a $1,400 repair, for which I paid $250 and Kubota insurance the balance. Needless to say, nuts and bolts replaced the lynch pins immediately, which worked fine, but bucket was no longer pin-on QA.

Unless you really need the pin-on feature, go with SSQA or skip the QA feature entirely, if you will be working in thick brush.

Before I bought the B3300SU I though it would be nice to be able to drop the bucket easily, so I ordered the pin-on bucket. The whole rig was so maneuverable that I never dropped the bucket nor the FEL in 400 hours of operation.

Go with the Kubota pin-on setup. The SSQA is just to bulky for a small tractor IMO, not to mention there are very few skid-steer attachments that would work on a B3200. A bucket, forks and a grapple are about all one would need on a B3200 and all are made for the pin-on QA.

I copied the following from a prior thread on this topic and the following is a pretty thorough description by a member on the Kubota SSQA vs the Kubota pin on qa. I think with the geometry as stated following would limit the loss of lift capacity a little further with the Kubota SSQA, but that is a personal choice.

I mounted the SSQA last night - decided that I didn't want to wait. It seems to work fine on the LA504 loader on my B3200. In my opinion - it definitely makes swapping attachments a LOT easier than using the kubota pin-on style QA. That's the good. The bad is that the SSQA weighs in at 78 pounds - and the pin-on QA only weighs 22 pounds. So you're taking a 56 pound hit to go with the SSQA. I suspect that the buckets are heavier too - but I haven't had a chance to weigh them yet.

Another thing I checked is the location of the pin at the end of the loader arm - against the back of the bucket, on all three of the variations: direct pin on bucket, pin-on style QA - and SSQA.

For the direct pin-on bucket - there is 2 1/4 inches between the center of the pin - and the back face of the bucket.

When the pin-on QA is on the loader arm - there is 5 1/2 inches between the pin center and back face of the bucket. So adding the pin-on style QA pushes the bucket out quite a bit from the pivot point (this leads to reduction in capacity)

With the SSQA adapter installed - there's about 4 inches between the pin center and the back of the bucket. So the SSQA is definitely better than the pin-on style adapter in this regard.

The thing is - I believe with a better design - the SSQA setup could have the bucket with no more offset than a direct pin on bucket - or add some very minimal offset - like 1/2" to 1". The Kubota design is sort of "inefficient" With some better engineering I think they probably could have taken another 15-20 pounds out of the adapter weight itself - and also brought the bucket in closer to the pivot point.

It's a good solution - it's just not optimized as much as it could have been.

I am looking for a Kubota ssqa quick attach for my B7800 with a LA402 loader. What would be the correct number of one that will fit?

So far, using the L L2230A seems to be the only option. With this model I will need to use 3/4" wide bushing to fill the space in the brackets
and longer pins.

I, too, am interested in the answer to this question, as regards an LA402 on a B3030.

Hopefully someone will respond. :)

MY Hoe-
From what the dealers tell me the L2230A model is the one that will fit our LA402 FEL. Just need to add the bushings.
At $432. and painted Kubota orange to match, it seems like a good option.
