BT820 Backhoe trenching bucket

Hi All,
I’m new to the forum. I have searched but can’t find anything. I’m looking for an 8inch or 9inch trenching bucket for my B26 that has the BT820 backhoe attachment. Is there a third party bucket that will fit? Titan 8” bucket keeps coming up when I search for one, but does it fit the Kubota? Thanks.

Welcome to TBN.

Kubota offers three buckets, 12, 18 and 24” both with pin-on and quick attach. Quick attach has optional ears that can be ordered and used to adapt any attachment.

Knowing your attachment type, holes and spacing helps you compare but afraid there are few standards manufacturers agree on.

A major aftermarket bucket manufacturer might be able to help you.

Be aware that narrower the bucket, the more they tend to plug.

Check out a company called “ BXpanded” out of Knoxville Tennessee. They make buckets for Kubota and others. I bought a 6 inc trenching bucket and a root ripper from them for my 1723 Massey tlb.

I was looking at their products. Do you need to buy their quick release for it to work or will it connect direct to the Kubota?

My existing bucket is a quick bucket with the quick attach.

Your B26 is much more powerful than the BX models.

BXpanded makes great products for their target models. Tried to get them to make a ripper to fit the B26 backhoe a few years ago. NoGo. They didn’t think their ripper would be strong enough. They did make a special order Piranha bar to weld in a worn skidsteer bucket. Nice folks just a few miles away.

BroTek used to make narrow bucket that fit but I think they stopped.

I’ve got miles of buried utilities and roads so the B26 is real handy for repair. Hard to beat a trencher for long distance install.

QA ears were $225 at dealer. Parts dept couldn’t find them. Salesman can help order from Wholegoods.

Have design in my head to make a ripper shank with a 2-3” flatbar welded to back for a tee shape. Could break roots and the flatbar would help clean out and open up a narrow trench for home/farm water and electric lines.
