Hi,

Has anyone used one of the brushgrubbers by BAC industries.

Besides the original model, they make 3 heavier models:

Heavy duty, 3/4" constr., jaws open from 1/2" to 4", 14 lbs.
Extreme, 1" constr., jaws from 2" to 5", 24 lbs.
Extreme plus, 1-1/2" constr., jaws from 2.5" to 6", 36 lbs.

I was thinking of trying out the Heavy Duty model.
It doesn't appear that the extreme models would clamp on the smaller brush whereas a chain should work just as well on the larger brush.

Looks like a toy that would fall off at the first chance or just strip the bark off . A saw blade on a brush cutter would be far better , cut off at ground level and a follow up with Glyphosate and they would be gone .

I have the HD model and it works well. It is faster if you have a second had to hok and release for grubbing 3 4 inch stuff roots and all. I have since put a grapple on the tractor and use it less often.
