So I was burning my brush pile today and thought it wasn't going fast enough so I got out my leaf blower/vacuum and thought I'd give it some extra air, but my wife had used it last fall for sucking up leaves and mulching them into the bag, so when I turned it on, the fire got sucked into the bag.
Now I'm a pretty calm man, but standing there with a bulging bag full of fire worried me, so while I tried to find the switch to blow the fire back where it belonged, I accidently pointed the business end of the leaf blower at ground. When I flicked the switch, the whooosh shot me 15 feet into the air and I landed in the pin oak tree.
My wife came out of the house about then to see what all the yelling was about. I told her I was blowing the last of last years leaves out of the pin oak tree. I don't think she bought it though, she wanted to know why my sneakers were smoking and all I could come up with to say was that I thought they were old enough.
So I siphoned some gas out of the LT and put some of that on the brush, put away the leaf blower/vacuum and lit the fire. My wife came out and asked what all the yelling was about this time , so I said I got tired of climbing around in the pin oak trying to suck up the left over leaves and decided to burn them off, but I don't think she bought it. She asked me why my shirt was smoking and all I could think to say was that if my shoes were allowed, then I had to let my shirt smoke too.
Next month I'm going to pick up the chipper/shreadder I bought on Ebay. The brush pile will have to wait until then.

No, really. I actually did buy a chipper/shreadder on Ebay.
