Broken U joint on G1800

had a really bad vibration coming from the deck, found the rear u joint going from the engine to the HST shot, my question is how do you get it off? for it looks like I got slip spline at the front and a small amount on the back but do I have to pull the engine forward? Any help would be great.

Not really that bad .Unbolt from transmission and if I remember, it has a yoke that is splines and should slide out.
