broken brake line on FX26D Yanmar

While removing brush we cought a brake line and broke the tube behind the nut fitting. I was hoping to reflare the line and put it back on. When I got it off it has a non flared end looking like an injector line. Has anyone had a line made or is this a dealer item?

New one on me. I didn't know any Yanmars had hydraulic brakes.

I tried several hydraulic shops that make up tubing with no luck. Here are a few pictures of the line and a copy of the Yanmar parts manual pages. A friend who does hydraulic work said I may have to drill out the tubing from the end and braze in a new tube. Has anyone seen this type of hydraulic tubing end on other equipment? I called Hoye Tractor they were unable to locate a new line, I'm not too keen on a used line. The line is #32 in the manual

If Hoye couldn't find it. You may have to take your friend's advise & braze it up

Try contacting some of the importers that sell FX's, like Tullahoma Tractors They might have parts tractors?? Is there any chance of changing the fitting it attaches to ,to a flare fitting?

Can't be all that much pressure on a Hyd.brake Line. Have you tried a piece of Reinforced Rubber Fuel Line and a couple of small Hose Clamps at the break? I bet it works Oh I see I put my Glasses on. There may not be enough line to clamp it to. Could be worth a try and hope you see my point.

Doubt there would be any danger on a slow moving tractor but hydraulic brake systems do have high pressure. Could be up to 3000#. I doubt the Yanmar goes that high but I wouldn't use hose and clamps. jmo

Could be 3000# Didn't you just say you never even heard of Hyd Brakes on a Yanmar tractor ? Uh a couple hundred MAYBE???? Probly not even that depending on how hard you press on the pedal

I will call the other tractor dealer tomorrow if I get a few extra min. But will see if someone has done this type of line. I have braze up hyd. lines on the job sites to keep evry thing moving. Never had to drill out a fitting and braze up a new line.
