Hey guys,
A guy i know gave me a 11 h.p. B+S Sears lawn tractor. The tractors shot but the motor is still good except for one thing. The bore in the carb body for the shaft for the throttle is so worn(sucking air)that it wont run right.
Has anybody ever tried boring this part out and putting bushings in there to restore the original fit?
I already scapped the tractor, but if i can get this motor running right i'm going to use it on a generator.
I have a small south bend metal lathe so i can make bushings about any size i want.I just wanted to know if anybody else has ever tried this and if it worked.I've seen this before on B+S engines so i know its pretty common.
