It is official Briggs has filed for bankruptcy in the Eastern district of Missouri court today. A lot of people say the writing on the wall months or even years ago.

With all the theft of US brand designs and models by chinese copy cats, it should be no surprize. Where I worked, we kept on-line drawings of our motors and transmissions that had to be post-processed to get the actual layouts and tolerances.

Would you believe that the chinese actually built motors to the false specs and called us about engine problems ?

Actually zzvyb that is kind of funny that they supplied false information to the Chinese.

Bankruptcy is just legalized stealing. When you can't pay creditors, everything should be sold to,pay as much as possible and there is no bailout money.

Totally agree, and the board shouldn't be able to get bonuses for making a company fail.

Covid or not, I can see other long-established companies taking a serious look at these #'s.....

Electronic hardware...... they would routinely EXACTLY copy pcb's down to board model/rev # and any logos trademarks etc.... a very long time ago.

Zero intellectual property laws, and no civil justice system..... I get why they played it the way they did..... what I never got was why our "leaders" and govts played along.

Actually..... I do know why..... just Follow the Money.......
