Breaking in new tractor

Just bought the Kioti CK 30 with FEL, Will be delivered next week.
Was hoping to just jump in and get to work! mowing w/5ft brush hog, and moving some dirt. ~ O.k. to do that right away? What is the best way to break in a new tractor?
Can't wait to say goodbye to our old IH 300 utility!

Thats what I did.
Though I did try to avoid lugging the engine, also tried to vary the RPM's on occasion for the first few days.

Take it out into the muddiest field you can find, get it 95% stuck, and generally make a mess of it. Then it'll be broken in good, and you can get to work with it and not worry about getting it dirty! Seriously, I think they usually recommend keeping the revs down a bit, and lugging isn't real good either. So work at moderate RPMs for while (good til you get used to it anyway), and other than that, have fun! Oh, and you waranty is void if you don't post a picture. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For the first 50 hours you should take it rather easy. Try not to run it too long at PTO speeds during that time and when loading, don't lug it down any more than absoulutely necessary.
The tractor has all new metal parts, and during the first 50 hours they need to begin meshing together well. Overdoing it in the beginning can decrease the life expectancy by causing parts to malform in effect, and you don't want that.
For the most part you can do most anything you need to, just be aware that you don't want to abuse it too much at first.
At 50 hours, be sure to change all the filters and fluids to get all the newish metal out. John

My '02 3054 has 114 hours now. And its just now starting to run really great. The engine is quieter, smoother, and starts easier. The shifting was getting stiff on the low/high and the shuttle. Then I shot each linkage point with some WD and it was like night and day. The only real problem I've had with the tractor itself is the Kioti aux. hydraulic valve that I added. Can't seem to keep it from leaking and its a real pain to get too. I've had it high centered in the mud several times, pushed it out with the loader. Use 4WD 90% of the time. The only thing I really wish it had was a syncronized shuttle, but after a while I've gotten the feel for when it will shift without grinds.

And it runs a real long time on 6 gallons of fuel. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Work it like its been there before, treat it now like you will in 5yrs from now. Diesels love to work even when new but never chug them to bad. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
