Has anyone else noticed their AC compressor brackets breaking right where the bolt goes through on their newer NH tractors? When I was going through the mess trying to get the dealer to fix my engine quitting problem the mechanic there broke the adjuster bracket when he replaced the injector pump. He tried to hide it but I wasn't that stupid. I complained till they replaced the bracket and the other things they broke or left off. Since then, about 60 hours ago, the bracket is broken again in the exact same place. Is it just cheap metal or what with these things. It's cracked completely through right where the adjuster bolt goes through it again. I'm going to make one myself today to replace the broken one out of some good steel. It's not hard since I have my own milling machine but I sure think this is kinda ridiculous. I wonder what will be next?

Any Pics,

The bracket may not be lining up right with the the way belt pulley and compressor pulley are lining up . That along with too tight of belt has potential to cause damage. Is the bracket made out of steel (malleable) or is it cast? may be a bad casting?

It's aligned good and a long way from being too tight. The belt squeels every time the clutch engages. It appears to be cast steel.
