break out force of the mini hoe

does anyone remember the stated break out force for the mini hoe that fits the 425 tractor, for some reason I am thinking it is 1500 lbs but not sure, thinking of bolting rippers onto my bucket one on each side to rip out tree roots on 4-6'' saplings then pushing them over, if the hydraulics are strong enough and not collapsing the bucket in the process,

PT web site lists the breakout force of the 2425 backhoe as 2500lbs--cylinders and linkage appear to be identical, so that should be close, hydraulic pressures are the same also. A phone call to Terry should verify.

Why not build yourself a dedicated ripper for those projects that need concentrated force in a small area such as root pulling, etc. Similar to the pictures below. The ones below, can be purchased, but if you can get some A-36, or A-400 steel, you could draw out a blade/ripper design, that would have teeth on the front and back to perform a sawing action on the larger roots, and put a curve in the blade to reach under and pull up smaller roots. Sort of like a grapple tine with teeth, like in the two grapple pictures. Serrated edges.

I do have a ripper very similar to the one shown on the left what I run into the ground is sandy it pulls roots up easily but looks like 6-12 foot long noodles laying on the ground I would prefer to break them close to the base when possible my brother in law spends hours digging up 4-6 sapling stumps his backhoe has difficulty breaking roots maybe I should try my mini hoe maybe green works better than orange now I have used my tiller to break roots and push over a 12 tree do not think I should submit my tiller to this kind of use but it was fun
