Brazed a cast iron stove leg (buttered)

Had this project on the list for 9 years.
Main problem was my oxy/acet torch was not working well.
The regulator couldn't hold the set pressure, it would rise, and you had to continually reduce the oxygen on the mixer.
FINALLY fixed the oxy regulator and then brazed the stove leg.

Broken leg from a little coal stove.
I thought it would be OK for a 12x18 cabin but it was much too small.
Moving it I busted one of the legs.

Buttered it and stuck it together.

Hope it works!

People talk about using a TIG torch for brazing.
I tried it briefly, and it puddled.
Which did not bode well for brazing; so obviously I wasn't doing it right.

If the surface is clean, I like using silver solder for fixes like that.

Nice work, Sodo. It makes me want to braze something broken. . I like the way you add text to your pics.

Does anyone know if there is an app I can use for doing that with a mobile device?
