Branson 5220r FEL issue - RESOLVED

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with the front end loader of my 5220r. The past few days I have been disking so I have not used my loader much at all. Today I needed to pick up some branches and that is when I realized my loader would not go higher than 18-24 inches. I uploaded a video to Youtube showing the issue.

When the tractor is running my trans/hydro fluid appears low, but when the tractor is parked and off, the fluid is level with the dot. Anyway, before I call my dealer, I wanted to ask here for a possible quicker response. Thanks in advance!

Do you have any rear remotes?
I didn't see any. If you do possibly one of them is detented on.
Does the 3 point bounce any when using the loader?
You could disconnect and reconnect the loader quick connectors,'some times one of those will become partially
disconnected.
Also the cables could be over traveling the valve, your diverter hasn't stuck on has it?
Good Luck

I would check what LouNY said. Specially the quick connectors. Maybe some stick popped one off or something. That symptom looks like it.

I don't see any rear remotes, but what about the 3rd function?

Sorry guys, enjoying dinner.

My tractor does not have rear remotes, and the 3rd function diverted is working properly. I can open and close the grapple as well as curl without issue. I’ll try and disconnect the FEL lines and reattach then tomorrow after work.

I appreciate the help and I am willing to try anything before I go to the dealer.

RESOLVED:

My issue is resolved. My FEL and Branson are new to me. For some reason a hydraulic line was disconnected at the valve under the deck. I looked last night but didn’t see it. Today, I did and I reconnected it. All is good again in the land of tractor world.

Thank you for listening and suggesting I disconnect all the lines!

Your welcome,
glad it was an easy fix for you.
Now where is it warm and dry enough to be out discing?
Are you doing deer feed plots?

I’m in Oklahoma. The temperature is fluctuating. I bought land a year ago and had a forestry mulcher clean up some overgrown areas. Now I’m disking up the mulch so it’s easier to plant grass.
