Branson 4520r
I have a issue with the split fuel tank that the 2014 4520r uses. I found out that they made a change for the better on the 2015 model. The tractor will show empty on the gauge and if I am on a slight grade it will act like its runs out of fuel. So I am certain the gauge is correct. When I go to fill it back up it only will take 5 gallons, and the gauge shows full. I don't think the fuel is going into the secondary tank. The fuel capacity is 9.3 gallons. I am assuming that there is only one fuel sender and its in the primary tank. I called bransons customer service and talked with a technical rep. He told me that there is no pump involved in pumping fuel into the other tank. I was lead to believe that it has to spill over into that tank. I have a motocross track on my property and believe me if it was going to spill over it would on my property. I love the tractor but this is a joke. The tractor burns just over 2 gallons an hour so I have to fill it often. It has only one filler cap on the drivers side. This baffles me. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I get the feeling that branson really screwed up and they just don't want to admit it. The tech rep told me that the 2015 tank will not fit on the 2014. He claims that this has not been a problem but if that the case why did they make a change in 2015. The 2015 tank is a one piece tank while the 2014 tank is two tanks connected by hoses.

I'm not sure if this is relevant to you at this point but I have had the same experience when operating on the hill on my property. I usually have no problem re-cranking it once I roll down to the bottom of the hill. Have you found a fix?

yes I do the same. and that works for me to. I have not found a fix yet. I did get a hold of the local rep for branson tractor. He told me he would look into it and try to help me out. That was 2 weeks ago and I have not heard back from him yet. I wish now I had the extra 8 grand and had bought a kabota. The branson tractor is awesome but this is the exact situation that you hear about from people that buy off brand tractors. Its the little things that can really get you.

I have a Century 2535, which is similar. I found that with mine, I went from having plenty of fuel, to going through it quickly, but not being able to put as much into it. After a few times of this, I crawled under my tractor and saw that I had crushed the transfer pipe by hitting something. I pried it open and solved all my issues.

thanks for that input. I will check that out. I don't feel that the kabota tractor is any better of a tractor. I just think that the big name tractor companies are prepared to handle this kind of thing better. I guess that is what you pay for in the big name tractors.
