Branson 3820 or Farmtrac/TAFE 3600HST

Both seem like good tractors, just wanted to read Branson owners sell me on their tractors.

I tried them both and IMHO, the Farmtrac was much better.

In defense of Branson, the dealer was not good and did not know how to show off or sell what he had.

I looked at the a Farmtrac also, and was not impressed. The things I didn't like about the Farmtrac were the deck wasn't flat, didn't like the position of the FEL control, really goofy gear shift, range lever in low gear was in the way. Some positives were the selectable PTO engagement (clutch, or switch) dual remotes standard, and FEL cycled pretty quickly.

The dealer that I saw the Farmtrac at was more expensive for less of a tractor (HP and Weight) than the Century dealer I eventually purchased from.

OOPS, just noticed we are talking about a HST which I did not get to drive so I'm not sure how relevent my comments are!!!

I just ran up on a 4520 Branson with 125hrs, FEL, and all the 5 ft implements for about 15,500. Is the yanmar in this model as good or better than the new cummings they are putting in them now.

IMO the Yanamar is hard to beat. That is what my Century has in it. The Deers also have Yanamars under the hood

The Branson 4520 has the same engine as the John Deere 4710, Yanmar 4TNE-88.

Sounds like a good deal to me... depending on options (R4s, loaded tires, canope, remote hydro, etc) and what "all the 5 ft implements" really includes. Could be a great deal!

The 4520 I was looking at is on E-bay. For a first time buyer, as is, scares me. Found a Demo 4520 with 20 hrs for 12,500 but with the 2 & 3 year warranty.
