Hi Folks,

I have followed this forum for many years and this is my first post. I have a Branson 3510 that runs like a charm. On occasion the stop solenoid sticks and I have to push the the stop lever by hand to get the solenoid to fully close. I replaced the actual solenoid on it about 2 years ago and that didn't fix it. I thought that the oil in the fuel pump might be getting old but cant figure out how to drain it. It doesn't do it every time, but enough so that it is irritating. Most time I just need to apply only minimum pressure by hand to get it to close.

Any ideas on what the problem is and how to resolve it?

Thanks and I appreciate your effort,

Trac

I believe the oil for ip is supplied by the engine oil and isn't serviceable separately.

Shahan2003....

Recognize this is am old post but I am having the same solenoid issue with my 3510. Did you eber resolve the concern? I am considering swaping out the dc solenoid but by the looks of your post it didn't do the trick.

hope you atre still out there and can give some advise :) Thanks

Try putting some oil on the pivot points. I did that on a century 2535 several years ago and it seemed to help. Willie Jones

lube didn't seem to help. Is there a relay or something in the circuit? I checked the wires one is Neutral, One seems to have 12v constant (when the key is on) the 3rd has 12v for only a second or two after the key is turned on then goes off. Is that normal function?

If I push the solenoid in manually it seems to stay in and work fine

just passing along info for anyone that is interested ...... Broke down and spent the $200 on a new solenoid. Works fine now seems the "pull-in" part of the solenoid failed.
