I want to install remotes on my 2400, but I have yet to find anything on how to. Has anyone installed them? Would like to do PB remotes to run a wood splitter only.

Tractordata says it has 4.8 gpm. Most standalone splitters are well over 10, often 16 or more. The cycle time will be long.

There should be a power beyond line on the loader valve that goes to the rear 3pt. On my 3725 there is also a tank line from the loader valve that goes to the middle of the transmission case. That's no what you want. You would want to re-route the PB to go to the input of your new valve and have the new valve's PB continue to the 3pt.
You'll need a valve that has a detent so it'll stay on. There's threads here showing people adding valves to their tractors. Different tractors but the idea's the same. You'll need to fab a bracket.

On my loader control, pressure comes in the top, tank on the rear and there's a hose labeled C. Can I tap into those?

2400s used to have remotes. If you can locate an older model hydraulic diagram you have your schematic.

I tried doing that with a '65 Ford 3000. You can go to Tractor Data and look up the specs. To get any kind of the 7 gpm advertised flow you had to be running at PTO rpms.

Since you need the ram, piston, and hoses regardless of the power source, all you need is a power source and go to Northern Tool and get their cheap stuff and make your own. I got their 2 stage 16 gpm.....that's 16, not 7 and 2 stage means it runs fast at low pressure and slows down at high pressure.....but it has the pressure when needed. I have an old riding lawnmower chassis and used the engine and all out of that and installed the controls. Have pictures around here somewhere.

A 4" x 24 hyd cylinder works well with that pump. I was running around 7 seconds give or take since out and in are different speeds due to differences in volume of the cylinders. Course when your blade hits the log the pressure spikes, the pump goes into the high pressure mode and the speed drops drastically until the log pops then it picks back up speed with the lower resistance.
