Grapple is my favorite tool for cleaning up downed trees. I have forks. Forget it. Save the forks for digging rocks and moving pallets.

Watch the weight on your grapple purchase. It's temping to buy a bigger bad-a$$ grapple so that you can abuse it more, but the weight really does subtract from your load limits. My 400lb grapple on my MX5400 is plenty tough, I'd have been nuts to go up a model to the 900lb grapple. You'll probably be constrained to something smaller, but it's all good.

But is he abusing that grapple by the way he is pusshing and pulling on the trees and stumps? Just seems to me, that he was using the grapple in a way they are not designed for. Any other thoughts? Jon
