Tractor
BX 2380
Just got a new BX 2380... awesome tractor! A couple days ago, I took the front end loader off for the first time to do some mowing. When I was putting the loader back on, I got everything lined up, got it seated in the mounts and locked it in... or so I thought. When I went to lift the loader, the right side popped pit and the whole thing got pulled to left. I tried to straighten it out and set it down and back out but the more I played with the hydraulics, the worse it got. So eventually the loader is laying accross the hood and the hood and whole right side is damaged as is the grill guard, right headlight, and probably some other stuff I can't see. It also seems like the steel mount on the left side is bent, either on the tractor or the loader, or both.

Now the loader is completely twisted and I can't get it off or even move it much. I'm so disgusted about this. This tractor has about 5 hours on the clock and now it's completely screwed up. I'm hoping this can be fixed with no permanent issues.

Yeah, that is frustrating.
Loader removal/ installation can be a bit tricky as you found out the hard way.

You may consider contacting your dealer and schedule a service call.
Hopefully the tech can get the loader off the tractor, inspect everything, and determine what may be a warranty problem (if any) and what it will take to fix any collateral damage.

On the plus side, everything can be fixed.

Sorry to hear about having problems with your loader the first time you tried to connect it back to the tractor. Do you have any pictures that we might be able to help figure out what went wrong? I'm wondering if one of the hydraulic hose couplers wasn't seated all the way and that caused your problems.

I remember the first time I put mine on, it took a half hour, now it takes me less than 5 minutes. It's not hard, it just takes practice. There could also be something wrong with your machine. Call the dealer. Good luck.

I'm really upset about this. It's a brand new tractor with 5 hours on the clock. I watched a video on how to do it a bunch of times and read the manual. The person who delivered it had never done it before so he wasn't able to walk me through it step by step. I thought I had done everything correctly. I have Kubota insurance so it's not covered under warranty I will use that. I'm just really frustrated because I have this brand new tractor sitting on my garage that I can't use and I have to mow two acres. 😡😡

That's pretty messed up. My BX is about 10 years old. It's hard to tell by the pics but it looks like they changed the way the loader pins to the tractor. It looks like one side wasn't attached and came loose.

Yes I seated the loader in the mount and thought it was locked in. When I went to lift the loader the right side popped out and the whole loader was pulled to the left into the hood.

I was going to ask if you checked into using the Kubota Insurance. From one of the youtube videos from Messicks (I got my BX23S through them and they are GREAT to work with), that insurance seems to cover almost everything but intentional damage.

It is hard to tell, but it looks like the two sides are pretty close to being in time with each other, so I don't think it is a coupler problem. It doesn't look like there is much room between the loader and tractor, it is a lot closer than on my L3901!

I would think that this is covered under the Kubota insurance, but like you said you hate to see this on a new tractor.

Let us know how it works out and if they can tell you what went wrong, it might help someone in the future.
